We have authors that work in higher education where publishing books and articles is often an expectation. Without an ISSN number many of those authors did not get credit within their institution for work published in VEJ.  When we decided to revive VEJ, one of the first things we wanted to pursue was obtaining an ISSN.  After the initial review we were informed of some required content that needed to be added to each publication. So, we went about making those changes to each past issue. We are now compliant and have added the ISSN number to each issue.
